Black House Ant
This ant species are highly attracted to sweets and will scavenge for food whether in your kitchen or your garbage and also dog excrement, potentially spreading diseases like salmonella.
Argentine Ants
This species of ant have a sweet tooth however will eat insects, meat, cereals and fruit. Nests are hard to find, as they will travel long distances sourcing food.
Coastal Brown Ant
Nest in and around pathways, gardens and walls. Will attack food around the property including meat, sweets, fruit and greasy foods.
Ghost Ant
These very small ants tend to prefer warmer, wet habitats. If found indoors, their trails often lead to sinks, baths, toilets and showers. Indoor Ghost ants contaminate household foods by attacking sugary items like chocolate, cakes and sugar.
Carpetener Ant
Active at night. Nest in moist decayed wood. Excavations have sandpapered appearance. Live indoors and outside. General scavengers and predators. Prefer sugary liquids and the sweet secretions of bugs.
Pharaoh Ant
Nests are rarely found, often nest in voids in and around buildings. Active during the day, they feed on a wide range of materials including sweet, protein and fats – including syrups, bakery items, grease, dead insects and meats.
Sugar Ant
Nests are found in a variety of sites, including holes in wood, root of plants, shrubs and between rocks, soil and under pavers. Active during the night, they feed on a wide range of materials preferring sugary liquids like honeydew sweet, however will eat dead insects and meats.

Typically nest in lawns or under stones, wood or boards with mounds found along paths. Forage mostly during the night. Eating almost everything humans eat as well as pet food.
Bull Ant
Typically nests outdoors in soil and under logs, rocks etc. Located mostly in bushy areas. Seldom entres buildings. Can inflict a Very Painful Sting.
Fire Ant
